MAYOR'S CUP 2025 SKEET TOURNAMENT
As your councilman, I have a record of being fiscally conservative. This doesn't just mean fighting for lower taxes, but also being a good steward of how your money is spent. As Mayor, I will continue to work with council and staff to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the city while lowering taxes and spending your tax dollars wisely. We need a city government that works for its citizens and improves our quality of life, not detracts from it. We deserve elected leaders that will listen to us and take a common sense approach to government. From my time on the Planning & Zoning Commission to now as Mayor Pro-Tem, I have a record of listening to citizens concerns and working to find sensible solutions that work for everyone.
As a 4th generation Santa Fe resident whose family has been here nearly 100 years, I am deeply passionate about our town. This is where I grew up, graduated from high school. and chose to raise my family. Since my time as a Santa Fe FFA member, community and volunteerism has always been a priority for me. I am proud to belong to charitable organizations like the John Mitchell Masonic Lodge, Santa Fe Area Historical Foundation, Santa Fe TX Education Foundation, Santa Fe Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Santa Fe Lions Club. I also co-manage a 4H youth shotgun club and teach Hunter's Ed and Boater's Safety course for Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Being a leader is about bringing the right people to the table with the right information to make the best decision possible. A leader also has to make tough decisions when there are no easy choices. While on both P&Z and council, I have proven that when tough decisions are on the table, I am not afraid to do my homework, listen to the citizens and take a firm stance. In 2022, I was honored to be unanimously elected by my fellow councilmembers as Mayor Pro-Tem and while we will not always agree on issues, we are committed to working together to govern the city in the best interest of you, the citizens.
